Good f***ing riddance, 2001
We're about to slam the door on the year that will go down as the worst of my lifetime, so far. (I'm told 1968 was a pretty bad year, too, but I was only around for half of it, and I don't remember it very well. 1980 sucked, too, but that was for personal reasons. Anyway ... ) I don't have any profound sendoffs for 2001, except to exhort you to think about what really matters and to exhort you to spend every day of 2002 making sure that the things that really matter to you are the things to which you devote your energy, every day.
