I don't, really, but now that I have your attention:
Can somebody explain to me why, after three and a half years of Republican bumbling, stumbling and fumbling, during which they gave us an unnecessary war and took away our civil liberties, during which the United States has become a worldwide punch line (or the nation that others fear most), that the GOP was still not in serious danger of losing Congress ... until it was discovered that one of its Congressmen was overly electronically friendly to teenage boys (most of whom, I must point out, were of the age of consent in many states; doesn't make it any less creepy, but it also doesn't exactly make him a pedophile)?
That's a long question, but there's a short answer.
We're stupid.
