No delays, no drama, no having to negotiate with gate agents, no running. It seems to happen a lot less these days. Makes for a boring story, but for a much happier me.

And it was, indeed, there and back
I find myself taking for granted things like a trip that goes something like this:
Get on the plane
Make your connection
Get off plane
Go to meetings
Get on plane
Make your connection
Get off plane
Drive home.
No delays, no drama, no having to negotiate with gate agents, no running. It seems to happen a lot less these days. Makes for a boring story, but for a much happier me.

It is because you weren't required to travel through O'Hare, isn't it? I know that MUST be the case!!!
No ORD, which of course made things perfect. If you must fly from Florida to California -- and apparently I must -- that Houston stop is a wonderful thing. Especially in this case: I had the rare but fantastic experience of connecting at the same gate at which I landed. Usually a 45- minute connection is a challenge, but I just turned around and got back on the same plane.
Achieving perfection in travel is rare these days, rare enough that it's notable when it actually happens.
